I believe you are the expert on yourself and I am here to support and empower you in gaining insight into yourself. Throughout our time together, I will provide you with a listening ear, guidance and support, as well as practical solutions to improve your mental health and well-being. Along the way, we will uncover the coping mechanisms that once worked for you and no longer do, as well as develop new ones that will support you and bring you awareness, acceptance and growth.
My Background and Approach
My approach is direct and non-judgemental, focusing on providing insight into the challenges in your life. I have an individualized and holistic approach to therapy, supporting you in finding practical solutions, and implementing long-term change for healing and better relationships. I have extensive experience in working with trauma and have trained in evidence-based therapies such as Eye Movement and Desensitization Therapy (EMDR) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is doing the best they can with what they have. I also believe in growth and the ability to change but I know that there are no quick fixes and you have to be willing to work hard. I believe people thrive when they are seen and accepted exactly as they are. I believe we all develop egos to take care of us and defend us but sometimes these egos take over and we need to go deep within to find ourselves again. I believe in curiosity and not in judgement and I am willing to explore a variety of tools outside of the traditional ones in order to find what works for each one of us. Along the way, some of the tools that I have found and that work for me are Yoga and Circular Connected Breathing. I have also found that both Astrology and Tarot help me think and process events and energies that are present in my life.
