About My Clients
Whether you’re grappling with questions about career, relationships, race, identity, spirituality, or beyond, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space to collaboratively explore your present-day concerns as well as how your past informs how you react and respond to what is happening to you in your day-to-day life.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, psychodynamic theory, and elements including mindfulness, grounding techniques, and gratitude therapy. By combining empirically-based approaches with approachable coping tools, you’ll be able to: · Reduce day-to-day anxiety and stress levels · Connect with and heal past trauma to foster an improved version of yourself in the present · Explore your identities with particular focus on young adults, women, Asian Americans, new moms, and parents · Embrace being fully present in each moment · Gain clarity to questions you’re facing surrounding career trajectory, family and romantic relationships, cultural, racial, and spiritual identity
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy working with young adults who’re just carving out their career trajectory and may be questioning their place in the world while struggling to balance new responsibilities. I also enjoy working with adults who may be facing challenges surrounding the next phase of life steps, including stressors with interpersonal relationships and parenthood. As an Asian American woman myself, I’m particularly interested in those populations, but I’m open to working with individuals who are motivated and ready to explore what’s holding them back from achieving the absolute best version of themselves. I was inspired to become a mental health practitioner because of the challenges I’ve personally faced growing up as an Asian American woman in a small town with little to no representation for myself. Once I moved to a larger city with more diversity and creativity, I was able to fully embrace my race and identity.
