My clients want to change their lives. They are sick and tired of having to deal with imposter syndrome, resentments towards a loved one, anxiety, depression, stress, OCD, or traumatic experiences. I am dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive space where individuals from all backgrounds can find understanding, healing, and personal growth.
My Background and Approach
Clients frequently characterize me as warm, accepting, and providing a safe, emotionally supportive space. My approach is designed to empower you with practical life skills. I use evidence-based treatments incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy but tailored to your unique needs. Often my clients achieve their goals with short-term therapy while some benefit from more time with me. Together, we'll explore your emotional patterns and personal history to promote self-understanding. This collaborative process is geared towards equipping you with the tools and skills needed for self-compassion and cultivating more constructive perspectives of yourself and others. For your convenience, I offer flexibility with evening appointments available as late as 10 pm. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey towards positive growth and well-being.
Why I Became a Therapist
Through my personal journey grappling with anxiety, depression, overwhelming feelings, and profound loss, I discovered firsthand the transformative impact of therapy. When I no longer had to constantly battle worry, sadness, and self-doubt, I found the space to unearth my passion. Recognizing that my purpose lies in aiding others on their path to a more fulfilling life, I pursued graduate school and gained invaluable experience in various settings, including community outpatient clinics, a rape center, inpatient substance abuse treatment centers, juvenile hall, a forensic psychiatric hospital, and VA medical centers. My journey, inspired by the support of the right therapist many years ago, has allowed me to craft my best life. Now, I am dedicated to empowering my clients, helping them realize their strength, often surpassing what they or anyone else had imagined. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your own journey to a more fulfilling and resilient life.
