About My Clients
You're stressed, sad, traumatized. You have disturbing thoughts compelling you to do/think things over and over again to feel safe. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with folks feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, traumatized, and grieving. My clients are ethnically & culturally diverse and many are in the LGBTQ+ community. They come from different walks of life include military veterans, homemakers, people in the tech world, healthcare professionals, and folks in the entertainment industry.
My Background and Approach
I give my clients a safe place to talk. I gently challenge them and point out any patterns and any contradictions holding them back from living their best life. I help them see themself and others in a more helpful way. I first experienced the transformative power of psychotherapy through my own therapy. I learned a more realistic, helpful view of both myself and the world. I even learned to be kind to myself. I became a confident, independent woman. While trying to find my place in the world, I worked in business, in real estate, and in tech. During your free 15 min phone consult we will briefly discuss the reasons that are bringing you into therapy at this time and I’ll explain my treatment style and some of my background. From there, we can decide if I am a good fit for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in respecting you, your time, and your efforts to get help. I’ve been ghosted and it does not feel very good. Therefore, if you email or call me, I will email or call you back within 24 hours. It took a lot for you to contact me, that is the least I can do. I also believe that folks are stronger than they know. It's your pain that's hiding your strength from you. Having the courage to start psychotherapy is evidence that you have the courage to succeed. I want to hear the story of your life so that I can come to know you and the suffering you're experiencing. We'll talk about your strengths and goals. I want to know your hopes and dreams. You can explore your emotions and behaviors, examine your distress and problems, gain a sense of control and meaning in your life, as well as learn healthy coping and problem-solving skills. My treatment is tailored to your unique needs. I use a combination of well-established, effective therapeutic tools to help you achieve your goals.
