About My Clients
I am highly interactive with my clients and believe that we are partners in the process towards better mental health, healing, and wholeness. My approach is largely founded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I treat a wide variety of mental health concerns, always emphasizing the positive and looking for solutions to psychic pain.
My Background and Approach
I do not have one way of doing therapy. We will work together to define and set your goals, addressing what is currently causing you the most distress and/or what has been causing you pain for a long time. My theoretical approach is Cognitive Behavioral. This approach emphasises the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behavior. It is a holistic approach that takes into account anything you believe is relevant to your journey and healing.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
No one is an island. We are connected through relationships everywhere (family, friends, communities, etc), and having the right "fit" with a therapist is key to healing and wholeness. I strive to be the type of therapist who is interactive, accepting, non-judgmental, and present with you through the entire counseling process. The therapeutic relationship is a unique one where you may find emotional experiences that correct your ideas about what a good relationship with another person should look like. It should be positive, upbuilding, and genuine. We can do this together.
