About My Clients
Have you felt stressed and depressed during this Pandemic? If so, you are not alone, most of us have experienced these feelings. I understand, because I have felt this way too. Have you ever experienced anxiety so bad that you can't talk or breathe, I have been where you are now. Have you been in an abusive relationship? I am a survivor of domestic violence. I believe I can use all my past experiences and training to help you understand your feelings and learn tools to improve your life.
My Background and Approach
I am Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 15yrs experience. My goal is to assist you in processing whatever issues you are facingcurrent utilizing my past experiences and training Ihe tools that I'll provide you with are tools that I have been perfecting over my career helping people just like you. I have dozens of them. My goal for you is to have at least five different tools and techniques that you can carry with you at all times. So no matter where you go, you'll always have access to discreet exercises that can quickly create relief. I am direct and solution focused. We'll work collaboratively to address the anxiety attacks that are bothering you right now. We'll start with what's going on in the moment and how to get control over your body and thoughts.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone at some point in their life can benefit from therapy. People can experience mental health issues, just as they have medical health issues. However, sometimes people place a stigma on those that seek help, which is very unfortunate. As a child I grew up in an abusive home. I ended up in abusive relationship as an adult, and I tolerated because I thought it was "normal," because I was raised in a physically abusive home where it was "normal ." Through therapy I learned about myself, and that I had control over what kind of life I wanted to live, and not allow the abuse to have control over me. In addition, I have experienced anxiety throughout my life, the type where if your employer calls you into the office, you automatically feel your heart pounding faster and you feel like you can't breathe, I can completely relate to you. I believe I can utilize past life experiences and training to positively impact and provide tools to help my clients.
