My ideal client is someone who is seeking to heal, transform, and become more resilient. I offer a trauma-centered, client-centered, and solution-centered approach. I have extensive experience as a military spouse and a spouse of a veteran for over 25 years, and have worked with military families most of my career.
My Background and Approach
Carmen Turner-Schott, MSW, LCSW, LISW, is the founder of Deep Divers Counseling PLCC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, board-certified in Illinois and Ohio. She has over 25 years of dedicated service to the United States Air Force, working with military families, veterans, sexual assault survivors, domestic violence, and child abuse prevention, and has worked in the mental health field since 1997. Carmen received a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1999. A Certified Trauma Specialist, Carmen is passionate about helping individuals understand how the mind can assist in deep healing. She has specialized training in various healing modalities and techniques to support trauma recovery. Her expertise includes understanding the psychological effects of trauma on the brain and its impact on emotions, the physical body, and mental processes.
