About My Clients
I specialize in working with children and teens who are experiencing depression, anxiety, life changes, and behavioral challenges, as well as young adults with ADHD, anxiety, and attachment concerns. We will collaborate to create a plan for reducing distress and directly address your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors with self-compassion. Whether this is your first or hundredth time in therapy, I'm excited to work with you!
My Background and Approach
I am licensed in NC as a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate. My background includes school-based therapy, career coaching, group facilitation, and virtual crisis counseling. These experiences, combined with my clinical training, allow me to show up as a compassionate and culturally responsive therapist. As a therapist, I help my clients learn skills, embrace change, understand new perspectives, and enhance wellness. I believe every single person can achieve these goals, and I enjoy collaborating with clients and creating a genuine therapeutic connection with them as they embark on their journey. In treatment, I use an eclectic approach that includes CBT, DBT, and ACT while incorporating somatic practices. I also use Motivational Interviewing and the Stages of Change Model to support clients with specific goals. With younger clients, I use art and play therapy techniques in sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can benefit from mental health support. In today’s world - filled with stress, negativity, and harmful influences - we all deserve space to heal, grow, and unlearn what no longer serves us. No matter your background or beliefs, my approach is rooted in nonjudgment and respect. My goal is simply to help you thrive and experience a greater sense of wellness.
