Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Bakersfield, CA

About My Clients

I specialize in working with couples who feel stuck in painful cycles of disconnection, conflict, or burnout. Many of the couples I see are deep feelers, caregivers, longing to connect with one another despite carrying the weight of stress, trauma, or past hurts into their relationships. Together, we create a safe space to slow down, understand what’s really happening underneath the fights, and rebuild connection, trust, and resilience so both partners can begin to communicate once more.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with extensive experience supporting couples and individuals navigating trauma, stress, and relational challenges. My approach is culturally affirming and relational, creating a safe space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. In couples therapy, I help partners slow down, notice patterns, and reconnect emotionally, so they can build trust, empathy, lasting closeness, and more effective communication. I am here to help guide partners in exploring their experiences, heal old wounds, and move toward stronger relationships, greater resilience, and personal growth.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m deeply committed to creating therapy spaces that are culturally affirming, inclusive, and socially conscious. I believe that healing happens in relationship, and that mental health is intertwined with justice, identity, and community. I stand in solidarity with movements for racial, gender, and LGBTQ+ equity. I believe therapy can be a place of empowerment where we can support individuals and couples navigating the effects of systemic oppression. I value connection, empathy, and authenticity, and I work to bring those values into every session. Beyond therapy, I engage with causes that promote social justice, liberation, and well-being for marginalized communities, and I strive to integrate these principles into my practice so clients feel seen, respected, and supported in their full humanity.
