About My Clients
I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, identity exploration, self-esteem, burnout, and life transitions. Many of my clients are thoughtful, high-functioning people who feel stuck in painful patterns, disconnected in relationships, or overwhelmed internally despite appearing “fine” on the outside. I also enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients and those seeking a warm, collaborative, and direct therapeutic space.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York City and an adjunct psychology professor at City College of New York, where I’ve taught courses including Personality Psychology, Human Sexual Behavior, Intro to Psychology, and Queer Psychology. Outside of therapy, I also founded a nonprofit organization that has helped hundreds of people across the U.S. access support with rent, food, and post-surgical care. My approach to therapy is warm, active, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I integrate psychodynamic therapy, CBT, trauma-informed approaches, attachment work, and parts work to help clients better understand themselves while also creating meaningful change in their lives and relationships. I believe therapy should go beyond simply “venting” and help clients build deeper self-awareness, emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and lasting patterns of growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens within safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental relationships. Therapy should be a space where you feel genuinely seen — not reduced to a diagnosis, stereotype, or expectation. I value curiosity, compassion, accountability, and personal growth, and I strive to create an environment where clients can explore difficult emotions and experiences without shame. As someone passionate about psychology both professionally and personally, I deeply value continued learning, identity exploration, and understanding how our past experiences shape our present lives and relationships. Outside of work, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, spending time with my cats, and connecting with stories and characters that explore resilience, belonging, and transformation.
