About My Clients
I'm a Spanish speaking therapist and I specialize in working with children (in English) who have difficulty controlling their big emotions (anger, anxiety, sadness) and caregivers (in English or Spanish) who feel overwhelmed with their children's challenging behaviors. I also work with children adapting to life changes such as divorce and family relationship issues. I help my clients understand their triggers and learn new coping skills that help them feel healthier and more confident.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in play therapy where children can explore their emotions and experiences in a fun, creative, and healing way. I help them learn new ways to respond to challenging situations and team up with caregivers to support their child in ways that honor the child's needs and communicate respect. I also use CBT, solution-focused, and sand tray techniques.
