About My Clients

Do you feel like you’re carrying everything for everyone and barely holding it together inside? Are the anxiety spikes, the grief waves, or the relationship stress catching you off guard at the worst moments? Many first and second-generation adults, BIPOC women, and queer and trans folks come to me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unseen. I offer a culturally rooted, trauma-informed space where you can breathe, feel understood, and begin to heal with steadiness and support.

My Background and Approach

I bring over 16 years of experience as a licensed therapist and certified professional coach, supporting BIPOC, first and second-generation, queer and trans clients through anxiety, grief, and relationship stress. The tools I’ll teach you come from years of integrating somatic therapy, nervous system regulation, and culturally rooted practices. My goal is for you to leave with practical strategies you can use anywhere, anytime to calm overwhelm, reduce reactivity, and reconnect with yourself. I am warm, direct, and collaborative. We’ll start with what is happening in your body and relationships right now and build skills that create immediate relief. You’ll learn what is happening in your nervous system when fear, grief, or conflict takes over and how to shift yourself back into steadiness. Together we’ll untangle old patterns, strengthen boundaries, and build the resilience you need for lasting change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a queer, first-generation Xicana therapist who believes that healing is both personal and collective. My work is rooted in social justice, liberation psychology, and the belief that our stories deserve to be held with dignity. Growing up in an immigrant household shaped my understanding of the pressures, loyalties, and cultural layers many first and second-generation clients carry. I support movements that affirm Black, Brown, queer, trans, and immigrant lives. I believe in community care, ancestral wisdom, and the resilience our families pass down. I also host a podcast, Dear Babygurl, where I share stories, healing tools, and reflections for BIPOC, first-gen, queer, and tender-hearted leaders navigating life and liberation. At home, my wife and I raise two pajaritos (human kids) and an ever-shedding dog, with our alta, laughter, and a lot of love. These values guide my practice and the space I hold, where every part of you is welcome and you never have to translate yourself.
