I especially enjoy working with LGBTQIA2S+, queer, neurodivergent, ADHD, Autistic, twice-exceptional/gifted, creative, artistic, alternative, and othered individuals seeking understanding and growth.
My Background and Approach
I’m Carly Stern, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for supporting neurodiverse and marginalized clients. I specialize in ADHD, Autism, OCD, Anxiety, gender and sexuality exploration, and relationship concerns. My approach integrates evidence-based therapies like CBT, ERP, and ACT, tailored to your unique needs. As a non-traditional, transparent, and approachable therapist, I offer honest feedback and genuine connection. Clients benefit from my trauma-informed, client-centered care, which emphasizes justice, empowerment, and community. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where you can understand yourself, build resilience, and make meaningful changes.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to equity, inclusion, and social justice. I advocate for accessible, affirming mental health care and am currently pursuing my doctorate to deepen my expertise. Outside of work, I enjoy running and hiking with my dog, finding peace and balance in nature. I am passionate about sci-fi, fantasy, and video games, especially Fortnite and Zelda, and love attending comic conventions. I strive to bring openness, curiosity, and authenticity to my practice, creating a space where you can feel safe to be yourself.
