As a parent myself, I understand the enormous and all-consuming nature of this role in your life. It truly is the longest shortest time. I utilize ACT to help you identify what it looks like to be the parent you want to be while practicing self-compassion as you continue to move in the direction of your values.

Whether it be social anxiety, OCD, panic disorder or generalized anxiety disorder, it can get in the way of what is important to you. I work with clients to become more familiar with the sensations they experience and to honor this part of themselves as a valid and evolutionary tool while also making choices that are in service of the life they want, even when the anxiety feels like a barrier.

I love to work with individuals navigating their LGBTQIA2S+ identity in the world as they make choices about their life and relationships. I acknowledge the impact of bias, oppression, and discrimination that minority populations face and believe in the power of self-acceptance and self-determination, of community and chosen family, and that each person has their own unique and individual stories and goals for therapy.

I believe in ACT both professionally and personally as a way to process and understand oneself and one's experiences in a holistic and non-judgmental way. ACT makes room for expansiveness and psychological flexibility when rules and expectations start to make us feel stuck. I have attended multiple local and national trainings focused on ACT and attend regular consultation groups with colleagues using ACT as their primary mode of therapy.

My work is guided by multicultural, feminist, queer, humanistic and existential theories. I recognize that every human has their own history, context and values that shape their choices and experience and honor those in our work together.
