About My Clients
I currently work with adolescents (13+) and adults. I have a wide range of experience and am able to work with many issues that may arise. However, I tend to work with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, and depression and women who are pregnant and/or postpartum. I have specialized training in perinatal mental health and in trauma therapy and am able to offer support to those experiencing mood disorders.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado and I currently provide telehealth services. This means you can participate in therapy from the comfort of your own home. I have a background working with individuals ranging in age from 3 years old through adults and have treated a wide variety of issues including, but not limited to, trauma from abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other traumatic events or childhood experiences. I also have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression as well as self-harm and suicidal thoughts. I have specialized training in treating women experiencing mental health challenges in pregnancy and postpartum and am trained in EMDR for those who are hoping to heal from trauma. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my practice, as I tailor therapy to each individual client and their needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all people experience challenges in life and that reaching out for help is an incredibly brave thing to do. I work from a non-judgmental stance and value all people and their identities. I have personally experienced many ups and downs in my life and have also witnessed people close to me face challenges and this has inspired my passion to work as a therapist. After experiencing a very difficult pregnancy and postpartum experience, I also became passionate about supporting other women on this life-changing journey. I value connection and believe that connection through relationship can be exceptionally healing.
