Carly Chan (she/her, they/them)

I am constantly striving to provide the most individualized and competent treatment possible for my clients. I have completed training in a variety of therapy approaches, including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and I have also completed specialized training in CBT for trauma (TF-CBT), eating disorders, and insomnia. At this time, I am working through Gottman training to enhance my skills in couples therapy, and I look forward to incorporating more movement and breathwork into my offerings as I complete my 200-hour trauma-informed yoga teacher training.

Part of why social work was my degree of choice was its alignment with my own core values; I value self-determination and believe that all people should have the agency to make decisions about their lives and bodies. I believe in the dignity and worth of all people and that each of us has manifested in this life as an expression of the Divine (call it God, the universe, whatever you choose). Each of us is whole; sometimes, we just need a little help on the path back to remembering that. I also highly value integrity, which is why I strive to increase my competency through training in new modalities and interventions. I desire to provide the best possible service to my clients. It is a privilege to serve you in working toward your mental health goals, and I aim to honor your vulnerability and trust by providing you with the most competent care possible.
