My Background and Approach
I have been a social worker since 2008 and have enjoyed working with people across the lifespan. In my couples work, I am guided by researched-based Gottman Couples Therapy and attachment-based science. I am trained in Gottman Level 1 & 2, as well as EMDR therapy for trauma work. I approach my work with clients from a place of genuine care and desire to help improve your lives. After thorough assessment, I help individuals and couples develop goals and we set a treatment plan. I believe therapy works best when you have a goal in mind so you know when you meet it! I have worked with many of my clients now for several years, and others I see for a short-term basis.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a social worker because I value the worth of all individuals. I am LGBTQ-Allied, and supportive of people who are transitioning or exploring gender identity. My practice is anti-racist and I do not tolerate discrimination in any form. I value the cultural richness clients bring into session and honor the parts of you that may differ from me.
