About My Clients
I provide trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapy to teens, adults, veterans, and immigrants. I work best with patients who desire meaningful growth – people navigating trauma, life transitions, loss, or relationship challenges, and who value authenticity, depth, and humor in their therapy experience.
My Background and Approach
I completed my undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley in 2008, and received my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2013 from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. As a BIPOC (Latina) therapist and immigrant, I bring a culturally responsive approach to therapy that recognizes how our identities, histories, and environments shape our lives: the way we show up in relationships, the opportunities that we do or do not pursue, and the way that we value and care for ourselves. My goal is to create a space where all parts of you are welcome, and where your lived experience is honored with compassion and respect.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a social justice advocate, a believer in science, and a devoted dog mom to two wonderfully wacky pups! At my core, I believe that when we have the means and capacity to help others, we have a responsibility to do so. That belief shapes the way I navigate the world personally, as well as the compassionate, collaborative space I offer every patient in my work as a therapist.
