You are so good at performing stability and appear to have it all together. But truthfully, you’re overwhelmed, disconnected, and quietly unraveling. The loneliest part is that no one seems to notice. You mask your suffering with competence. Intuitively, you know that this role you've been playing no longer works because you feel alone in all your relationships. Something has to change but you're terrified to shift anything for fear the world you've created will crumble.
My Background and Approach
It can be extremely hard to find a therapist you just "gel" with. The most important aspect of therapy is making sure you feel naturally comfortable with the practitioner. This is especially true for anyone seeking trauma recovery. I learned this over a decade ago when I began supporting survivors of domestic violence. An advocate or therapist can toss "every approach in the book" at you but if you don't feel safe and comfortable with them then there's an essential ingredient missing. My therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and attachment. Through this lens, you will explore how your lived experiences led you to today's struggles and reimagine what real, heartfelt connection could feel like. Clarity will grow as you begin to understand the artful balance of closeness and autonomy, safety and healthy risk, transparency and boundaries. You will grow beyond perfectionism and performance into a satisfying and sustainable way of being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in resilience. I am honored to have watched deeply hurt and traumatized people find a place of confidence, connectedness, and hope. I believe in the power of a safe and loving relationships to heal. Humor, silliness, and movement are incredible antidotes to loneliness disconnection. My clients often comment how refreshing it is to shift between depth oriented conversation and silliness where they can just be themselves. I believe in treating TMI topics (sex and sexuality) in a comfortable and relaxed way. I am passionate about supporting those who want to talk about sexual health, non-traditional relationship dynamics (non-monogamy in its many flavors), gender exploration, and kink. I am a queer woman who has taken years of sex education coursework and experienced the wonders of polyamory. No topic is off the table.
