About My Clients
My clients are often insightful in many areas of life, yet find themselves stuck in painful patterns they can't seem to change. They may struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, or a nervous system that feels stuck in survival mode. Many feel caught between understanding why they react the way they do and knowing how to create lasting change. They are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, healthier relationships, and a life that feels more authentic.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that symptoms often make sense in the context of our experiences. While insight is valuable, lasting change often requires working with the deeper emotional, relational, and nervous system patterns that keep us stuck. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, and other evidence-based approaches to help clients process trauma, build self-compassion, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others. Together, we explore the patterns that developed in response to past experiences while creating new opportunities for healing and growth in the present. I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to move at a pace that feels manageable. My goal is not simply symptom reduction, but helping clients develop greater self-trust, emotional flexibility, and a more authentic connection with themselves and the people around them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are doing the best they can with the experiences, resources, and information available to them. Many of the patterns we struggle with today developed for a reason, even if they are no longer serving us. Rather than viewing these patterns with judgment, I believe healing begins with curiosity and compassion. I also believe our mental health is shaped not only by our individual experiences, but by our relationships, communities, identities, and the broader systems we live within. Because of this, I strive to understand clients within the full context of their lives rather than viewing struggles as existing in isolation. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodiversity-affirming, and I am committed to creating a space that honors diversity, respects lived experience, and recognizes the impact of systemic barriers and oppression. I believe therapy should help people reconnect with their own wisdom, strengths, and capacity for change.
