About My Clients
I work with teens, young adults, parents, and new parents who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected but are ready for real change. Many face anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship stress, while others are navigating big life transitions. My clients seek a safe, honest space to heal, build confidence, improve communication, and create lasting growth with evidence-based support.
My Background and Approach
I am a clinical social worker with experience supporting teens, young adults, parents, and new parents through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship stress, and major life transitions. My approach is person-centered and grounded in building a strong, authentic therapeutic relationship, because I believe lasting change happens when clients feel safe, seen, and truly understood. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). In our work, you can expect a balance of compassion and honesty—I will listen deeply, walk alongside you, and also gently challenge you when it serves your growth. My goal is to provide practical tools and deeper insights that empower you to heal, strengthen your resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in showing up as an authentic human, not just a therapist. I value honesty, compassion, and connection, and I strive to create spaces where people feel safe, respected, and seen for who they truly are. I am an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and a supporter of social justice movements that work toward equity, dignity, and inclusion for all communities. As a first-generation Mexican American, I deeply value cultural identity and the wisdom it carries, and I often draw from this perspective in my work. My beliefs are also shaped by my own experience as a parent raising an LGBTQ+ child, which has given me a deeper understanding of the challenges, strengths, and resilience within families and the importance of affirming spaces for youth. I believe in empowering clients to discover their strengths, find their voice, and create meaningful change both personally and in their communities.
