About My Clients
Are you struggling with parenthood? Or maybe you are struggling with infertility and would give anything to be struggling with parenthood instead? I have been in both situations and I want to let you know that you are not alone. I work with women and parents who are dealing with issues such as infertility, pregnancy complications, miscarriage, postpartum mood disorders, or parental stress/burnout. I would be honored to walk alongside you, no matter where you are on your parenting journey.
My Background and Approach
I have been a social worker since 2011 and have worked in a variety of settings. I started my private practice in 2022 and have loved working with women in all stages of life. I feel that my personal experience with infertility helps me to really identify with clients who are going through this in their personal lives. I have also appreciated the training and support I have received from a fantastic organization called Postpartum Support International - one of the leading organizations for women in the perinatal period.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that our society does not do enough to support families and those who want to have families. We are outside of our biological normative way of raising children - with lots of other parental figures in their lives - this places so much stress on parents and kids alike. I believe that bonding in the first months of a baby's life is so important and I would love to see universal parental leave become normative in the US as it is in so many other places.
