About My Clients

If you’re here because you often feel anxious or overwhelmed, have had experiences that have left you feeling disconnected, hopeless, or numb, would call yourself a perfectionist and/or people-pleaser, or are struggling to know and accept who you are, and are wanting to discover how to live life authentically and on your own terms… I see you, and I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey towards reclaiming what is rightfully yours - your story, and your life!

My Background and Approach

What lights me up is people being their most authentic selves - standing in their power, being true to themselves, and developing deep, connected, and caring relationships with themselves and others. My approach to therapy is client-centered, collaborative, affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally humble. I work from an intersectional and holistic lens that considers all of who you are and your lived experience in today’s world. In order to foster a therapeutic relationship that is safe and trustworthy, I make it my priority to engage in on-going self-reflection and learning, and frequently elicit your feedback. During sessions, I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities to ensure that we can work together in a way that best supports your unique needs and goals. These include Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Humanistic and Existential Psychotherapy, Experiential/Somatic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Both my studies and my work are strongly influenced by social justice, anti-racist, anti-oppression, and liberation frameworks. I continually engage in self-reflection and internal work in order to challenge biases and oppressive narratives I have internalized growing up within our current system. As a white, cis-het, middle class woman I am aware of the many privileges I hold, and this awareness informs my practice in the following ways: 1. I believe you are the expert on your own lived experience. 2. I practice radical openness, curiosity, and honesty, and try my best to take responsibility for any reactions that are triggered within me. 3. I believe in the necessity of intrapersonal, interpersonal, inter-cultural, and inter-racial reparations and repair, and in allowing survivors of oppressive systems to lead the conversation on what this can look like.
