About My Clients
Does the idea of having a therapist who is radically affirming, gently challenging, and blends real talk with real healing sound like the perfect mix for you? Come as you are and let’s reclaim your story! Because of my own life experiences, I have come to value the deep human need we have to be seen by someone who gets it. While I do not center my personal story in the therapy room, I bring a presence that hopefully honors the reality of struggle while holding onto the hope of transformation.
My Background and Approach
I know firsthand how easy it is to tuck emotions away—for others, for survival, for sanity. But unprocessed pain does not simply disappear; it finds its way into our bodies, relationships, and daily lives. In my therapeutic approach, I see a deep beauty in accompanying clients through the process of confronting and making peace with their pain. Together, we co-create a safe environment at a pace you set, fostering an atmosphere where exploration of your experiences is not only welcomed but encouraged. Much of the work involves reconnecting you with yourself, gently turning back on the parts that closed off by trauma. Applying a process-based philosophy to therapy allows me to draw from various modalities that best serve my client without adhering to only one approach. Depending on a client’s needs, we may incorporate elements of Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Restoration Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, or Gottman.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My heart is especially drawn to marginalized and underserved communities that have historically been overlooked and wounded. I am privileged to bring both lived and professional experience supporting populations such as children in the foster care system, military veterans, survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, individuals with substance use challenges and their families, LGBTQIA+ community, sex workers, undocumented and immigrant communities and folks with religious trauma. I believe that healing should not be a privilege but a right—something woven into the fabric of our communities, offered with compassion, grace, and understanding. Whether through therapy, faith-based support, or community care, my hope is that no one feels alone in their struggles. My mission as a therapist is to stand in that gap, providing accessible resources and a safe, nurturing space for individuals to grow.
