About My Clients
Adults and couples I work with are interested in: setting strong boundaries without guilt or shame, overcoming negative thought patterns, improving one's ability to address challenging situations, enhancing personal relationships, or processing a loss (separation, divorce, death) and creating an enhanced life while respecting the process of moving forward. I also provide services to support individuals with tools to support a loved one diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis/cognitive decline.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach: straight-forward and reflective. I also understand that sometimes things are hard and having someone to process the hard things with, without judgment, is the best thing that you can do for yourself. I earned my Master of Social Work, Master of Education and Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina State University. Outside of formal education, I have received training in a variety of therapeutic modalities and can be described as both straight-forward and direct. You show up, we will do the work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Knowing that we need help can be hard. Asking for help can be even harder. I can assure you that whether we meet in person or virtually, you will feel comfortable to be able to unpack and process the things that are hard and may even be holding you back from living the life you want to live. Together, we will work together and create a plan that is tailored for you, not a cookie cutter, one size fits all type of approach.
