About My Clients
My first priority is to create an emotionally supportive environment for you that emphasizes personal responsibility and encourages your growth toward a happier and more fulfilling life. I will be there for you, listening and supporting you when you are adjusting to changes in a relationship, growing during a transition, challenging a past hurt, or whatever focus that will help you on the path to fulfillment and flexibility.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology in July, 2021, from Pepperdine University, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. My approach to therapy is both nurturing and motivating. I use a combination of therapeutic techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to assist those struggling with anxiety, depression, insecurity, stress, fear, pain, and relational issues. I have experience working with young adults, parents, and veterans. In my work with couples, I utilize Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT) to focus on goals related to communication, lack of connection. and/or lack of trust - often following a break. I work collaboratively with clients, meeting them where they are in their journey to find connection, flexibility, and meaning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a special interest in working alongside individuals on their own personal spiritual journeys. I have a passion for helping those who seek wholeness by deepening their connection to a greater truth or faith - whatever form that may take for you. I am interested in naming religious trauma and beginning the healing process.
