About My Clients
I complete psychological assessments to identify and clarify mental health disorders in children and adults. You may benefit from a psychological assessment if you had an assessment years ago and think “something else” is going on, you haven't been making progress in your current treatment, or have a question about yourself to investigate. After an assessment you will be armed with the knowledge to be happy, healthy, and most importantly, yourself.
My Background and Approach
I am a licensed psychologist in North Carolina and I help people learn more about themselves or their child. I attended University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and obtained my doctorate in Educational Psychology, with a specialty in School Psychology. I have 10 years of experience doing psychological testing in public schools and private mental health facilities. I use a variety of methods, such as a thorough interview, records review, behavior rating scales, and standardized tests, to help determine if a person meets criteria for a mental health disorder. I listen carefully and ask questions to help understand your concerns and communicate results in a compassionate manner. The assessment report is designed to be precise, easy to understand, and useful.
