About My Clients
Our general philosophy at Creative Counseling is that we all have the power to heal ourselves. Our job is to give you the tools to do so. We do this by using mindfulness and creativity in our practice. In our sessions, we will work on staying focused on the now. While there are times we will absolutely explore and process the past, we focus on the strengths and difficulties that drove you to seek counseling. In this approach, we focus on building strengths and giving you skills to take with you.
My Background and Approach
Our therapists actively seek training in their preferred modalities to keep current and work on creating custom approaches for each client. Our varied team utilizes approaches such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered approaches, Child-Centered Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and art as therapy. Our goal is to help you build skills, feel heard, and create a welcoming environment for you to grow.
