About My Clients
You’re doing your best, but lately life feels heavier than it should. Maybe anxiety, self-doubt, or past experiences are starting to interfere with school, work, or relationships—and you just want to feel like yourself again. You don't have to go through this alone, reaching out is a powerful first step. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, or self-doubt and want a space to process emotions and find healthier ways to cope.
My Background and Approach
Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a teacher, which gave me valuable insight into the challenges teens face and how parents can better support them. My passion for mental health comes from believing that once we learn to understand and manage our emotions, we’re better equipped to handle life’s ups and downs. In session, I aim to make therapy feel comfortable and collaborative—more like talking with a trusted friend than being in a doctor’s office. My style is warm, empathetic, and goal-oriented. I’ll listen, guide, and sometimes challenge you when it helps your growth. I use practical, evidence-based tools from CBT and DBT, along with person-centered and somatic techniques. Sessions may include activities and real-life tools that make coping skills easier to apply. My hope is for clients to leave therapy feeling understood, supported, and empowered with skills to care for themselves and face each day with more confidence.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the ability to heal, grow, and build a life that feels meaningful. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” what’s wrong—it’s about understanding yourself, learning new ways to cope, and finding balance in the parts of life that feel heavy. I believe emotions aren’t something to fear or avoid; they’re information that helps us understand what we need. I also believe that connection and compassion are powerful tools for change. When we feel truly seen and supported, we begin to trust ourselves again. My role is to walk alongside you as you learn to navigate your emotions, strengthen your voice, and create a sense of peace within your daily life.
