About My Clients
Do you feel alienated and alone? Do you view yourself as “damaged goods” because of painful experiences? My clients are some of the bravest and most fascinating people I’ve ever met. They have overcome tremendous adversity and taken great risks to create their life worth living. I am a champion for people who have experienced oppression in any form. My approach combines empowerment with unconditional support and acceptance.
My Background and Approach
My professional experience includes work with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual trauma, and I have specialized training in the treatment of PTSD. I have worked with a diverse range of clients who have taught me incredible lessons about the human condition. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and includes DBT and EMDR. I will customize a treatment plan for your needs and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that one of the reasons we are here on earth is to take care of each other and our planet. Kindness and compassion are strong values for me, and the drive I feel to help is a major reason I became a psychotherapist. One of the hardest lessons I have had to learn in my life is that peace and happiness cannot be found outside of ourselves but must come from doing the work within.
