About My Clients
I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children who are experiencing stress, depression, and anxiety. Many of my clients have been experiencing these uncomfortable symptoms for some time and are looking for relief and ways to better manage these feelings. Life can be challenging but therapy can help you find ways to cope. My goal is to teach you the tools to reduce negative symptoms, identify your strengths, and increase personal growth and well-being!
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the field for three years. I have a BS in Psychology and a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work to establish a valuable and meaningful relationship with my clients that is open, warm, and supportive. The therapeutic relationship is a partnership that will be built on trust and respect. I have counseled in both individual & group settings. I have experience in treating those with various presenting problems, including depression, anxiety, family/relationship conflicts, peer relationships, self-esteem, difficult life transitions, & trauma. I utilize an integrated approach to my counseling including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and mindfulness-based theories. I deeply value and respect individual diversity. I seek to build strong relationships with my clients where they feel safe to be their authentic self. Through my integrative approach, I will help guide you to a deeper understanding of yourself!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy can be a great way to increase self-awareness and growth. Understanding ourselves and our current and past patterns of behavior can help us find our strengths and improve upon our weaknesses so we may find contentment and live a whole and happy life. When we work on changing our way of thinking, our behaviors and feelings can change too.
