About My Clients
You may have delayed starting therapy- waiting for a better time or to feel more motivated. You may be familiar with anxiety, ADHD, OCD, phobias, disorganization, burnout, relationship struggles or strenuous family dynamics. I specialize in helping clients take meaningful steps towards their goals and values and to interact with their anxiety in new ways. I offer consultations. Clients have described me as compassionate, insightful and dedicated.
My Background and Approach
I counsel adults across the lifespan including college students. My approach is collaborative and skill-building. Depending on your needs, I will integrate MI, CBT, ACT, ERP, SFT, ComB, Gottman Method, psycho-education, and mindfulness. I also draw from psychodynamic and existential frameworks. Together, we will look at the safety behaviors and avoidance patterns you engage in, as well as underlying anxieties. I will support you as you examine your daily functioning and your life's big picture. We will enlist your strengths in the process. Prior to my therapist roles, I held health educator positions at Boston hospitals where I provided bedside support to patients, and presented on the topics of health behavior change and stress management to medical teams. In addition, I have conducted clinical research. While our practice does not take insurance, you may be eligible for some reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Please email me for a free phone consultation.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The therapeutic relationship is central to the counseling process. I believe that therapy facilitates a safe space for an individual to explore all aspects of the self. It also offers an opportunity to consider power and privilege in the context of relationships and systems.
