About My Clients

I specialize in providing an eclectic approach to mental health and wellness. Each session will be tailored to your individual needs, and, in addition to traditional talk therapy techniques, may include music-based interventions such as improvisation, guided meditation, songwriting, playlist creation, music and movement, lyric discussion, and more.

My Background and Approach

Feeling safe, connected, and resilient are all central to wellness. There are aspects of our experiences that can be difficult to reach with words and music can help us gain insights, develop coping strategies, and make connections in a new way. I believe that all people are resilient, and my goal is to help you reveal the roots of your challenges so you may move forward with a deeper understanding of yourself. In sessions, we can use verbal and music experiences to promote wholeness, wellness, and growth. Regardless of whether you desire talk therapy or music therapy sessions, I am committed to meeting you with empathy and warmth. Growth happens when we dare to show up for ourselves in new ways, and you've taken the first step. I commit to meet you with gentle openness that will provide you the space to explore, connect, & discover. Schedule a free phone consultation to learn more, ask questions, and discuss if we would be a good fit. No evening appointments open at this time.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Cultural Humility • I affirm every person’s gender identity, gender expression, and sexuality • I strive to acknowledge and address the impact of white supremacy and racism on all people’s wellness. • I acknowledge the impact of having a disability within ableist structures and systems and strive to create a space that is equitable and adaptive to meet people where they are. Person-centered therapy • I believe each individual is the expert in themselves, and that autonomy is central to wellness. • I acknowledge that every person has experienced trauma in some form, and strive to practice from a trauma-embodied perspective. • I recognize that people are complex, and have complex needs to match. I acknowledge that I may not be the best fit for each individual, and work with clients to refer to other practitioners when appropriate. Health and Wellness • I collaborate with integrative wellness practitioners to help clients achieve health and wellness based on their individualized needs
