About My Clients
I work best with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, identity, grief, relationship challenges, life transitions, and the pressure of “holding it all together.” I especially enjoy supporting high-achieving women, LGBTQIA+ clients, helping professionals, caregivers, and those seeking deeper authenticity, healing, and growth. My approach is inclusive, affirming, practical, and insight-oriented, helping clients move from surviving to more connected, aligned, and meaningful lives.
My Background and Approach
I am a LPC and PhD-trained counselor educator with experience in clinical counseling, crisis intervention, higher ed, and leadership development. I work with adults facing anxiety, burnout, life transitions, grief, identity exploration, relationship concerns, trauma, and the challenges of balancing demanding personal and professional lives. My approach is inclusive, affirming, practical, and relational, drawing from evidence-based modalities including ACT, DBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, & experiential approaches (telehealth). I also offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), an experiential modality that can help clients deepen insight, improve emotional awareness, and strengthen connection and resilience (in person). Clients often seek me out for my warm, direct, and collaborative style. Together, we work to build coping tools, increase self-understanding, navigate change, and create lives that feel more aligned, grounded, and authentic.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At my core, I believe people make sense in the context of their stories, relationships, identities, and the systems they move through. I value authenticity over perfection, curiosity over judgment, and connection over shame. Outside of the therapy room, I’m an educator, lifelong learner, animal lover, and someone who believes healing can happen in conversation, in community, in nature, and sometimes in the quiet presence of a horse. I’m passionate about creating spaces where people feel welcome to be complex, questioning, evolving, and fully human. I care deeply about inclusion, belonging, mental health access, and honoring diverse lived experiences. Whether you’re navigating change, burnout, identity, grief, relationships, or simply asking “Is there more than this?”…. my hope is to offer a space where you feel both supported and challenged toward growth.
