Traumatic experiences can often leave us feeling confused, isolated, shameful, or just plain stuck. It can seem like no matter how much work you do or despite how many coping skills you learn, you keep finding yourself having the same reactions, in a losing battle with your emotions, or feeling like you're "just too sensitive". The reality is, many of these reactions and emotions often make sense when we think of them in the lens of trauma informed treatment.
My Background and Approach
My approach is always from a trauma informed mindset and based out of the Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) model. I also utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapist (DBT) as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to enhance the potential for long lasting healing and change. My goal is to individually tailor these models to your personal needs and preferences understanding that coping skills are not a one size fits all! I have been working to perfect my expertise in trauma since the start of my career in 2013. The work I have done in many different treatment settings for both mental health and addiction has enhanced my ability to understand the challenges of healing individuals faced.
