About My Clients
Parents, children, and families are currently faced with many different challenges, that are unique to their generation and our post pandemic times. Has your previously outgoing child withdrawn, grades dropped, behavior at school increase? It can be overwhelming to feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel, and no one understands. Don't struggle in silence or alone. Instead of searching for what is "wrong" with clients, I work to find the strengths and power of my clients.
My Background and Approach
I have been a licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida for over 25 years. I have worked in community mental health, addiction treatment, and schools. I believe that all clients have strengths and skill set to live the life they want. I use a Positive Psychology and Strength Based approach to therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. I don't discriminate against anyone.
