About My Clients
I enjoy working with a variety of presenting concerns, though I most often work with anxiety, grief, ADHD concerns, relationship issues, and life transitions (break ups, divorce, graduation, job changes, career counseling, etc.).
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Auburn University, and completed my pre-doctoral internship at The Ohio State University's Counseling and Consultation Services. I’ve worked in a number of clinical environments including college counseling centers, community mental health centers, hospitals, drug court programs, and private practices. My approach draws on Existential Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy to empower you to live according to your values and create lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You deserve a life filled with purpose, meaning, and fulfillment. I’ll help you clarify what you truly want, reflect on who you are and the things you’ve been through, and pinpoint the barriers that have been holding you back. Together we’ll work through those obstacles and support you through the change process. I’ll adjust my approach to fit your needs and the pace you’re comfortable working at. My primary goal is to get you where you want to be, even if you don’t quite know where that is yet.
