About My Clients
I work with teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure what to do next. Many struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress, trauma, or relationship issues. Some have tried therapy before and want something more real and practical, while others are coming for the first time and just need a place where they can talk openly without feeling judged. My clients want therapy that helps them actually move forward, not just talk in circles.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor working with adolescents and adults in Wisconsin Rapids. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UW–Stevens Point and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lakeland University, and I have several years of experience in outpatient and private practice settings. My approach to therapy is direct, practical, and focused on helping people deal with real-life stress, not just talk about it. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, problem-solving, and supportive counseling to help clients understand patterns, manage emotions, and make changes that actually work in everyday life. I believe therapy should feel honest, respectful, and comfortable, so clients can talk openly and make progress at their own pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel honest, comfortable, and useful, not awkward or overly formal. People are dealing with real stress, real relationships, and real life problems, and therapy should help them make sense of it in a way that actually helps. I don’t believe there is one right way to live your life, and my role is not to judge or tell people what they should do. Instead, I focus on helping clients understand themselves better, build confidence, and make changes that feel realistic and sustainable for who they are.
