About My Clients
My clients typically find me because they've lost someone important, experienced miscarriage/stillbirth, are trying to conceive, are preparing for birth, want to process their birth story, or are adjusting to postpartum life. These chapters can often feel lonely; together we'll create space to process your journey and identify tools to help you continue moving forward. Whether you aren't sure where to begin or know exactly what it is you need, you are welcome in this space.
My Background and Approach
Using a non-pathologizing approach, we will work together to identify your strengths and explore ways to navigate the hard parts. Some techniques that may be incorporated are mindfulness-based tools/ACT, IFS theory/interventions, narrative work, and spiritual exploration. I'll spend time getting to know you and we'll work as a team to find the right path for you. In our time together, my hope is that you will feel truly seen and able to identify, honor, and communicate your needs to yourself and the people in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As we say goodbye to those we love or welcome new life to this world we must learn to balance grief and joy. We learn about ourselves through these emotionally and physically exhausting experiences. Yet during such tender times, people often feel alone or unseen. Our individualistic, achievement-focused society forces us to "move-on" in a hurry, robbing us of the space we deserve to process, adjust, and learn to be in our new selves. I believe in meeting people exactly where they are and helping them to hear and trust their intuition and integrate it into the realities of the world in which they live. I will help create space for all parts of yourself to be seen and heard, creating more internal harmony. We'll explore your values and help you make shifts to move toward actions that support those values. I believe in empowering people to make choices that are right for them, both at the end of life and the beginning. I've engaged in various advocacy work in both fields.
