My Background and Approach
I work using both a CBT and Psychodynamic approach. In therapy with me, you'll notice that I like to teach skills and help you understand your thought patterns and behaviors. I also help you understand how your history impacts your present day. With this awareness, I am able to help provide a new perspective.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are capable of change and that people are capable of healing. There have been a lot of challenges and traumas in todays world. I am committed to taking part in my clients' healing. I work from an anti-oppressive, decolonizing, and social justice standpoint. I always take in my clients' cultural background into consideration in therapy.
