I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and find this approach effective with both adolescents and adult clients. I often use this approach to aid clients in understanding the reasons behind their behaviors and learning how to make lasting changes to their situations.

I am trained in EMDR and find that this approach is very effective for clients dealing with anxiety, depression, as well as trauma. This approach can be very effective for clients that have difficulty with traditional talk therapy.

I am also trained in Family Systems and use this approach to help clients deal with family issues/concerns by helping them understand their roles in their families and learn how these roles affect the way they treat each other and experience the outside world.

I help people identify reasons for their anxiety symptoms in order to address them and learn strategies to cope. Sometimes client's experience physical symptoms that aren't linked to anything medical; although the sensations are real, the root cause may not be found in the doctor's office but can be uncovered in the process of therapy.

Relationships can be difficult to navigate, especially in serious relationships or marriage. When issues occur, it's best to deal with issues in a safe, neutral space with someone you trust. I enjoy the process of helping couples to identify and heal from difficulties and move into a trusting relationship again.

When the way we perceive ourselves becomes unhealthy, it is difficult to manage and respond appropriately to challenges in life. I help clients learn how to befriend themselves by nurturing and accepting who they are in order to find internal well-being.
