About My Clients

Do you find yourself living your life for other people and struggling to know who you REALLY are? Are you stuck in patterns of behavior that are no longer working for you? Are you excited to create change and recognize the innate power you have over your own life? My name is Camille and I am a collaborative, relational therapist who works with adult individuals and couples to tend to, and repair wounds that are impairing them from being fully present and at peace with their lives.

My Background and Approach

I want you to be able to be real with me, so I think it's essential that I am real with you. I don't pretend to know everything, and I don't believe that I know the answers to your problems. I infuse humor, empathy, and authenticity in my work. My approach to therapy is person-centered, with an emphasis on you as the expert on your life. I believe that with presence, and some safe and healthy discomfort, real change and healing can happen. I support and guide my clients in this healing with gentle challenges to inner narratives and assumptions about themselves. I encourage the acknowledgment and acceptance of emotions, and use these emotions as information to understand one’s self more deeply. I will help in identifying self-sabotaging patterns, digging up the roots, and planting more fruitful and positive alternatives. In my work with couples, I encourage trust building through vulnerable disclosure of emotions, and holding a safe space for sharing.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Research shows that an authentic and genuine relationship with your therapist is essential for safety, change, and growth. That is why I think it's important to have a good understanding of who it is you are going to be doing this brave and vulnerable work with. I believe that it is my responsibility to question and disrupt the systems of oppression that have facilitated privilege for me. This comes up in my work as a therapist, both as informative of how I practice, and in my conversations with clients. I believe that the many systems that form our identity must be acknowledged, and understood as highly influential in who we become. Some of the systems that have informed my own identity are gender, race, sexuality, chronic illness and the medical system, mental health, and politics. I identify as a cis, white woman, Agnostic/Spiritual, and able-bodied. I enjoy reading, running and yoga, getting to experience childhood again with my niece and nephews, and being a dog mom.
