About My Clients
My clients are women navigating overwhelm and any individual going through the immigration process across Utah and Washington. Many arrive during a season of change, whether that's the exhaustion of early motherhood, rebuilding after divorce, or the uncertainty of your twenties. What they share is a willingness to face what's in front of them and do something about it. They often come in feeling stuck or unsure of their next move, and leave with real clarity and momentum they can carry forward.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the owner of Atlas Counseling and Wellness. Our approach is direct and strengths-based, rooted in CBT and EFT, with additional training through the Gottman Institute. We provide clinical immigration evaluations for hardship waivers, VAWA, U Visas, T Visas, and cancellation of removal cases, backed by specialized training in this area. We also work with women navigating the exhaustion of early motherhood, rebuilding after divorce, and the uncertainty of a major life transition. You don't need to have it figured out before reaching out. Whether you're in the middle of something hard or just starting to realize something needs to change, that's enough. We're not here to tell you what to do. We're here to help you find what's already in you, and to help you build real clarity and momentum from wherever you're starting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, no exceptions. This shows up most directly in my work with immigrant clients. I've seen firsthand how often people are reduced to their paperwork or their status rather than being seen as full human beings navigating an incredibly difficult process, and I care deeply about pushing back against that. I stand up for people who are mistreated or overlooked, and I try to bring that same instinct into the therapy room: everyone deserves to show up as their full self and be met with respect. I'm also glad to be a space for LGBTQ+ clients and anyone whose identity doesn't fit a familiar mold. Outside of the office, I'm happiest outdoors, near mountains, lakes, or anywhere with trees. My wife and I love to travel, having visited New Zealand, Costa Rica, Mexico, Canada, and the Bahamas, with more trips always on the list. Closer to home, we play pickleball together, and I'll occasionally get pulled into a round of Mario Kart.
