About My Clients
I implement empirically supported strategies to address concerns regarding depression, anxiety, life transitions, adjustment difficulties, and multiple life stressors. I also believe that attaining the change we want in our lives is possible, but it sometimes includes needing the right tools and people to help us along the way. It is my promise to be as open and honest with you as I ethically can, as I believe that in doing so, we may grow closer to establishing a solid therapeutic relationship.
My Background and Approach
As your therapist at Upward Path, my goal is to incorporate compassionate, ethically based, and professional services into online therapy, with the belief that each client has a unique set of strengths. My experience in providing services derives from many settings and roles, including inpatient and outpatient medical facilities, as a medical and nephrology social worker, in community assistance organizations, and the corporate and non-profit sectors. I have assessed and worked with a variety of clinical disorders across numerous lifecycles. However, I am most enthusiastic about my work with adult individuals dealing with depression, stress management difficulties, and different transitions throughout their life. Most recently, I conducted workshops to military families and dependents, teaching self-care and mind-body techniques, received training in Symptom Targeted Intervention, and completed training courses through the Beck Institute in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
