About My Clients
My ideal client is one who is ready to be their own change agent and is often among the first to break from the status quo. My most successful clients are ones who learn to use their own voice, set healthy boundaries, and advocate for their own needs. They understand that pouring into ourselves without shame and guilt makes us even better lovers, friends, and community members. No issue is too big or too small for this client; what matters most is their willingness to brave the unknown.
My Background and Approach
I am a holistic, empowerment-based therapist, which mean I believe my clients are the experts and not me! While I may be skilled on how the mind works, only you know how your mind works. I use a combination of clinical theoretical approaches and holistic practices such as mindfulness to understand the full biopsychosocial-spiritual self. I also hold certifications in cognitive behavioral therapy, life coaching, mindfulness, and trauma processing interventions. I leverage all of these unique perspective to guide our intervention and treatment. The best part about being a strengths-based therapist is that my clients have a lot of freedom to incorporate interventions that feel most salient to them, knowing that their self-determination supports our overall wellness goals!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Despite the headway we've made to normalize therapy, there's still work to be done to make therapy more fair, equitable, and accessible. As both a therapist and an advocate, my office is where safe space meets compassionate advocacy. The core values I bring to my private practice include integrity, transparency, warmth, balance, and compassion. I hope my clients leave sessions feeling challenged, affirmed, and empowered in their next steps.
