About My Clients
I love working with diverse clients who have salient intersectional identities, and I encourage clients to discuss their identities during sessions. Lived experience as a BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled counselor gives me a unique perspective to hear client concerns regarding race, ethnicity, gender, affection, disability, chronic illness and/or pain, neurodivergence, and many other identities.
My Background and Approach
Through my past work in schools, I learned to counsel children and teens in addition to adults. I am also a writer and artist, and I understand first-hand how difficult it can be as a creative person at this time. With a client-centered approach, I can help clients work through feelings of imposter syndrome, seek direction, or rekindle their passion during these challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Finally, as a black belt martial artist, past college athlete, and current equestrian, I understand the potential stress of combining training and competition with academics, work, and personal life. I look forward to helping you find sustainable balance within your life!
