About My Clients
Working with me is collaborative, grounded, and attuned to your lived experience. I support adults and teens navigating depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficult life transitions to address feelings of overwhelm and disconnection. Our work moves at a thoughtful pace, using self-compassion as a practical tool for insight and clarity. You don't need to be someone different its actually about becoming more fully yourself. This is easier said than done yet possible with the right support.
My Background and Approach
I bring a broad and grounded background to my counseling work. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years providing social work services to marginalized communities in Seattle, supporting people facing homelessness, complex trauma, and systemic barriers. I also worked as an outdoor educator and guide in national parks and supported at-risk youth, experiences that strengthened my capacity to meet people with steadiness, attunement, and respect for their lived context. I create an inclusive and safe space as a queer and trans ally working with teens andadults. My clinical style often resonates with artists, service providers, people with ADHD, nature enthusiasts, and those exploring CNM. My approach is strengths-based, relational, and humanistic. I focus on helping clients build somatic awareness, regulate their systems, and create meaning as a means of accessing contentment, dignity, and agency.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold the view that all meaning arises through interdependence: our inner world is shaped by many forces, and yet we retain a real capacity to shape our experience in return. Therapy becomes a place to explore this balance. We honor the hard and real external pressures of our social ecosystem while cultivating the internal clarity and somatic awareness needed to choose how we want to live, relate, and navigate challenges. This approach supports a grounded sense of agency and dignity in a complex modern world and aligns with a social justice framework for inclusivity. The therapeutic container allows us to explore trauma within its broader social, cultural, and environmental context, recognizing both systemic inequities and the pain they produce. Together, we work to expand the possibilities available to you, acknowledging your resilience and your unique way of moving through the world.
