About My Clients

I work with Black gay and bisexual men, including executives, founders, artists, creatives, entertainers, and other public-facing professionals. Many clients arrive carrying anxiety, burnout, loneliness, relationship strain, grief, trauma, or the pressure to keep performing while the ways in which their identities intersect with these stressors remains unaddressed. This is a space to bring the parts of your life that society and traditional therapy spaces often do not have room to hold.

My Background and Approach

My work is affirming, trauma-informed and grounded in evidence-based care for Black and LGBT-identifying individuals. Depending on your needs, therapy may draw from Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT, ACT-informed approaches, DBT, minority stress theory, Liberation Psychology, and behavioral-science-informed treatment. We will look beneath the patterns that keep you stuck—whether that is overwork, perfectionism, anxiety, disconnection, difficult relationships, trauma, or the feeling that you must hold everything together alone. My background includes Harvard Medical School faculty experience, doctoral training at the University of Miami, NIH-funded research, and work connected with Massachusetts General Hospital and the Fenway Institute. I bring rigorous training into a therapy relationship that is practical, collaborative, and deeply attentive to themes of identity, power, culture, ambition, and the realities of public visibility. My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe effective therapy should make room for the full reality of a person’s life—not just symptoms or diagnoses. For Black gay and bisexual men, mental health is often shaped by race, sexuality, masculinity, family, faith, work, visibility, and the cumulative impact of being expected to be resilient without being fully supported. I am committed to LGBTQ-affirming, anti-racist, culturally responsive care. I believe identity is not a problem to solve; it is part of the context that deserves to be understood with honesty and respect. I also believe privacy matters. Clients should not have to minimize their experiences, manage another person’s discomfort, or perform strength in the one place designed for reflection. Clients should not have to choose between a clinically rigorous therapist or a therapist who centers who they are, you deserve both. My practice is intentionally private-pay and referral-only, with identity, discretion, and confidentiality central to the work.
