My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Lehigh University before going on to receive both my Master of Science in Psychology and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Florida Institute of Technology. I completed my clinical internship at the Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Then, I went on to complete my post-doctoral residency at the Veterans Affairs Connecticut Healthcare System and Yale University School of Medicine. I specialize in applying evidence-based treatments to a variety of specific mental and behavioral health symptoms. I primarily utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I view therapy as a success when clients have met their goals and feel empowered to continue growth and personal development on their own via strategies and skills learned in therapy.
