About My Clients
I love working with individuals, couples, and adult families who are looking to grow and heal in ways that emphasize their unique human experience and authenticity. This might look like someone who is trying to forge their own path after being stuck in negative patterns such as codependency or perfectionism. It may look like a couple who wants to deepen their emotional or sexual intimacy. I love helping clients discover who they truly are--either as an individual or in relationship to others!
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, I am trained to work with individuals, couples, and adult family members. My therapy style and personality naturally align with the person-centered approach. The space that I create in therapy is based on the tenets of person-centered therapy including unconditional positive regard, the belief that each individual has the right and power to discover the best path for their own personal growth, and that an honest, empathic connection helps clients get in touch with and eventually embrace their most authentic selves. My specialties include working with trauma, sexual issues, relationship issues, spirituality, and overall personal growth. I emphasize safety, connection, and integration of mind, body, and spirit in my work. As a sex therapist in training, I offer a sex-positive approach and warmly welcome LGBTQIA+, BDSM/kink, and ethically non-monogamous clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that true happiness comes from living authentically! I am passionate about helping my clients break out of the confines that they have been put in by family, culture, and society in order to explore the life and/or relationship that they want. As a sex therapist in training, I am passionate about embracing sexual diversity, sex positive sex education, and destigmatizing "alternative sexualities."
