Recognizing the sensitive and often stigmatized nature of self-harm, I am committed to creating a supportive and validating environment where clients can explore the underlying emotional pain, distress, and triggers that contribute to their self-harming behaviors. I aim to provide a therapeutic experience that promotes self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the development of healthier and more adaptive ways of coping with distress and emotional pain.

I have pursued specialized training and education in trauma-informed therapy, including approaches that prioritize safety, empowerment, and the restoration of a sense of agency and control. This training has equipped me with the necessary tools and skills to support clients in processing their experiences, developing healthy coping mechanisms, and fostering resilience in the face of adversity.

By integrating my personal experiences, professional expertise, and ongoing commitment to LGBTQIA+ advocacy, I am uniquely positioned to provide culturally competent and affirming therapy that addresses the holistic well-being and specific needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate their unique journeys, empowering them to live authentically and thrive in all aspects of their lives.

I help clients develop a deeper understanding of the connections between their past experiences and their current emotional struggles, facilitating a process of introspection and self-reflection that promotes insight, self-awareness, and emotional resilience. Through guidance and support, clients gain a deeper understanding of their unique psychological and emotional processes, empowering them to make conscious choices and positive changes that align with their authentic selves and values.

I teach clients the importance of secure attachment and healthy interpersonal connections in promoting emotional regulation, resilience, and overall well-being, and how cultivating healthier relational patterns leads to emotional security. I guide clients in cultivating mindfulness practices that promote self-regulation and emotional well-being, fostering a deeper sense of self-understanding and a more compassionate and resilient approach to navigating life's challenges and transitions.
